Catholics disconnecting from Mass see church out of touch, Australia bishops' study says

Catholics disconnected from Mass attendance and other parish life believe the Catholic Church is out of touch with the world today and is not relevant to their own lives, according to a new study commissioned by the Australian bishops.
Many people who have stopped attending their church services believe that their church is out of touch, but it generally goes in that order, not the other way. Yet you can't change your doctrine to be "up to date" as some churches have.
