• Church group drawing up slots suit

A statewide group of churches isn’t letting a new video slot machine plan move forward without a fight.The Ohio Council of Churches and the United Methodist Church on Wednesday unveiled plans to take their opposition to court. Tom Smith, public policy director for the 6,000-church council, said the groups are working with public policy think tank Ohio Roundtable to draw up a strategy but declined to speculate on when a suit could be filed.
