• Religious song raises some eyebrows at middle school

The Region 10 school district was once again faced with a free speech dilemma over the past week when a sixth grader’s talent show performance of a religious song was placed in doubt.The female student tried out for HarBur Middle School’s “Coffee House” talent show, where she intended to sing the popular country song “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” The girl was accepted into the show, but the song’s title caused administrators to take pause.
