Amber Mangum was quietly reading her Bible. And then the assistant principal told her to put it away because she was violating school policy. Ya gotta be kidding!

Been there
I had a similar thing happen in Green Bay, WI when I was on vicarage. I was teaching the 5th & 6th grade confirmation class, and we were talking about sharing your faith at school. I said, "Take your Bible along and read it during study hall or other times when it's ok to read personal books. They told me they'd get detention if they did so and would miss the bus. I offered them a ride.
Well, a few phone calls from parents later, one parent went to the school, complained, and now, they're allowed to read their Bibles at school.
