Oregon House works to exempt churches from anti-discrimination bill

The sticking point in the Legislature's effort to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation has been the threat seen by church leaders to their institutions' religious freedom.
Churches don't want to be forced to act contrary to their teachings by having gay pastors/teachers/etc.
