Poll: Americans see gloom, doom in 2007

25 percent anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ. 19 percent think scientists are likely to find evidence of extraterrestrial life.
I would count myself among that 25%. I know Jesus is coming back, and tomorrow is as good a day as any. If He doesn't, though, I won't be devastated. Some people clearly misunderstand that expectation, though.
