Rabbi Forces Removal of Airport Christmas Trees

Christmas TreeThere is a damper on Christmas cheer at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport: A rabbi's complaint led to the removal this weekend of synthetic Christmas trees that have decorated the entrances every holiday season for the last 25 years.

A Nativity scene I can see, but is a Christmas tree more a symbol of the secular holiday than the religious holiday? I know plenty of atheists who have Christmas trees under which Santa puts presents.
