Thompson cites 'good Church of Christ' upbringing but doesn't attend regularly

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson says his religion is Church of Christ. He was baptized as a youth, worships at a congregation in Tennessee when he visits his mother and has made donations to at least one church-affiliated university. That’s the extent of his connection to the fellowship, Thompson said this week as he addressed questions about his religion — a matter he said made him “uncomfortable” to speak about as it related to him.
Does his attendance record determine whether he'd be a good president?
